The Alberta Whitewater Association is scheduled to host our biennial fundraising casino on Thursday, December 21 and Friday, December 22 in Calgary at the Deerfoot Inn and Casino. Our Casino is important in helping to fund the ongoing operations of the AWA including the Schools and Pools outreach, Canoe Meadows operations, special projects and our events. Â
We need 6 volunteers to fill 3 shifts each day over the 2 days. The first shift runs from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm. The second shift runs from 6:30 pm to closing time at 2:30 am. The third shift is in the count room from 10:00 pm to 2:30 am.
The total number of volunteer shifts that we need to fill is 36.
The AWA will provide meal vouchers for your shift and vehicle mileage and accommodation for out of town volunteers.
We also give a credit of $100/shift to the club or whitewater group of your choice. This can be used for pool rentals, equipment purchases and other casino eligible expenses.
