The Grande Cache Whitewater Rendezvous is moving back 2 weeks to coincide with the July long weekend as near as possible. it is hoped that this will encourage more people to attend this exciting event in Grande Cache. There are some great rivers to run and not enough time to get to them all. Come and join Jean and the local crew for 3 1/2 days of paddling this year. We will keep the fun going for an extra day through Monday.

This year, the Grande Cache Wild River Rendez-Vous is sponsored by Aquabatics, from Calgary, and the Grande Cache Hotel. Entry fee is $30.00 per person and includes pasta dinner in High Country Steak & Ale on Saturday night, insurance for the weekend, and a ticket to win many different prizes.

The room rate at the Grande Cache Hotel is $69 for single or double occupancy. Just state that you are with the Wild River Rendez-Vous. New Johnny Canoe rooms are $79. 

Includes VIP passes for Rockies Bar & Grill, which includes live entertainment and a $6.25 gift certificate.

Free tenting and camping sites in the Grande Cache Hotel private park. Plug in, water and washrooms available, with 24 hour desk.

Here is the information for the Grande Cache Wild River Rendez-Vous 2014:

Friday, June 26, 2015 at 6:00pm.

The middle Muskeg River, canyon run. 3 hours round trip. We will meet at the put in on hwy 40, Muskeg bridge.  Class 3-4 and one class 5 section that can be paddled or portage with a seal launch below water fall. 

Saturday June 27, and Sunday June 28, 2015 (Choose your run)

Option #1. Upper Muskeg for the beginner and novice. This section of river is a class 1 and maybe 2.  This is a new run that was started last year for the beginner.

Option #2. Sulfur River in the morning, class 2-3.  Middle Muskeg canyon run, class 3-4 in the afternoon. 

Option #3. Lower canyon of the Muskeg, class 2-3. 4-6 hours of spectacular wilderness canyon.

Option #4. Sheep Creek River run, upper and lower canyon.  This is an advance expert run only. Class 3-4 and class 5 for the kayaker that is looking for a true adventure. It can be done!!! 17kms of remote wilderness.

Bag lunches can be pre ordered and ready for you for pickup in the morning in Mountainview Family Restaurant. Place your order at the front desk the night before.
