ASCK Casino – Call for Volunteers

The next Alberta Slalom Canoe Kayak casino is approaching and we are looking for volunteers. We need people for all positions: general manager, alternate general manager, banker, count room supervisor, cashier, chip runner & count room worker. No experience is needed for any of the positions – training is provided and all the positions are easy and FUN! You don’t need to be an ASCK member to volunteer but you do need to be at least 18 years old.
The day shifts are from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm and the evening shifts are from 6:30 pm till around 1:00 or 1:30 am, except if you are in the count room – these shifts are from 10 pm till around2:00 am. Our casino is on Monday and Tuesday so it tends to not be as late as the weekend shifts.
Deerfoot Inn and Casino is located at 1000, 115000-35th street SE Calgary.
While working your shift you will receive complementary snacks and a meal. People coming from out of town (more than 100 km) will be reimbursed $.26/km and accommodation will be reimbursed for those wishing to stay overnight.

Remember that HP athletes, (or a member of their family) are required to do two shifts and the Winter Training athletes or family member are required to do one.
This is an amazing fundraiser for ASCK – we will receive between $60,000 and $70,000 for our 2 days of volunteer work.
However we do need to fill 38 shifts so please sign up if you are able. Friends and family members (18 or over) are most welcome.
