After several years of enjoying the hospitality of Jason Bradley and the folks at the Red Deer River Ranch, we are having to move the location of the Sundre Paddlefest this year. Unfortunately the Ranch has decided to lease out the cabins and the ranch facilities for the year and are no longer hosting shorter term events like ours.
We have opted to move the Rendezvous to the Forest Reserve and use one of the campgrounds that the paddling groups have used for years - the Cache Hill Campsite. The Cache Hill campsite is located 38 kms from Sundre on the Red Deer River Road and 6 km west of the Red Deer River Ranch. We will bring in toilets, potable water, tents and tarps so that we are well equipped for the gathering.
And of course we will have all sorts of great paddling, good meals, excellent instruction and the chance to enjoy the upper Red Deer River together.
