WSAA Carding ----subject to funding

Carding is money given by WSAA to 8 top performing Alberta athletes.

The athletes with the top 4 percentages receive $600, and the next 4 receive $400.

See eligibility criteria below. WSAA carding is not to be confused with National Carding which is administered by Whitewater Canada.

Athletes Total Percentage =
% at Nationals + (% at Provincials + Best % at Provincial Team Trials ) / 2

Athletes % at each race = Athlete’s Adjusted Time X 100% / Fastest Albertan’s Adjusted Time

The adjusted percentages are derived as follows:

A Boat/Gender adjustment is made, K1W times and C2 times are divided by 115% and C1 times are divided by 110%.

To the Boat adjusted time an age adjustment is made, with times being divided by:

Age 24+ 23 22 21 20 19 18 17 16 15
% 100 101 102 103 104 105 106 108 113 125
