The Spirit of Sport Award is a brand new initiative for 2013 which expands the Podium Prospect Award to fund a Canadian athlete racing at this year’s Junior World Championships. The award encourages and rewards the personal development of Canada’s Canoe/Kayak Slalom Junior National Team. The athlete who best exemplifies the Spirit of Sport Award’s qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to the sport of Canoe/Kayak Slalom will be awarded $500 to be used towards their 2013 Junior World Championships expenses.
