Canoe Meadows Reconstruction Team
The Alberta Whitewater Association is inviting applications for 4 individuals to work at the Canoe Meadows Whitewater Centre in Bow Valley Provincial Park this summer. The task will be to rebuild the whitewater features and slalom gate system on the lower Kananaskis River andto supervise and manage the campground. The positions will start May 1 and run through to September 2.
The Canoe Meadows Reconstruction workers will possess a Drivers License and certifications in Swiftwater Rescue, First Aid and CPR. Some upgrading may be provided. Local travel is required. The construction will have a roadworthy vehicle, mileage will be compensated. Experience in public relations, logistical management, handling small tools and trailwork are an asset.
Rate of pay - $16.00 - $18.50/hour depending on experience. Flexible schedule working around program needs including evenings and weekends is required. Average work week of 40 hrs/week over the summer.
