10th Annual Red Beard Yukon Polo Tournament 2013

We are getting close to the 10^th annual RED BEARD YUKON POLO tournament!  This is the only night of the year that we keep score!

WHEN?  SATURDAY,Feb 23rd,2013 –Noon till 9pm

WHERE? SAIT Pool (click the link for a google map)

COST? $40 with $5 off till Feb 5th.  Maximum of 48 players.  Must pay before the 5th to get the early bird rate.

Cost includes:

• Tournament play
• Use of Polo Boats and Helmets
• an Amazing Awesome T-Shirt
• Door Prizes from sponsors as available
• A chance to display the coveted Red Beard Trophy for a year!

This event is open to everyone,but those under the age of 18 must have adult consent.  To assist with building teams,registration cut-off is Feb 22nd.

Post Tournament Gathering

After the tournament we will be going to FATS for beverages and snacks.  We are working on obtaining specials for the evening.

Transportation

Since this is an Alberta Canoe Polo sanctioned event there is a travel grant subsidy available for Alberta Residence who meet the requirements of the grant. Check out this link for specifics:

What to Bring

You will need to bring your own snacks,PFD,and Paddle.  ALL paddles must have the edges protected to safety.

Rules

We are playing Yukon Polo,and thus we do not have many rules.  Check out the Rules page for our normal club rules.  We will pick the teams before hand,and we will use referees for the games (provided by the teams who just finished playing).  Red Beard is about fun and friendly competition.  Our rules are primarily in place to ensure the safety of participants,and maintaining a free flowing game.
