Harvie Passage Fall Classic Sep 25-26
Alberta Playboaters League presents in partnership with Alberta Slalom Canoe and Kayak, this years Harvie Passage Fall Classic. This is our last event of the season and after an awesome year packed with freestyle, we are excited to get together one last time and surf some waves. Western Canada Team Trials
Team Trials is uppon us! With Worlds being postponed to June 2022 in Nottingham, we are ready to put our team Canada together and start training for the big event! But even if you are not expecting to compete on the world stage, consider coming to this years joint Alberta Provincials/Team Trials being held on the Kananaskis River. News - Womens Whitewater Weekend - Playboating Session
This year we had special guest Stephanie Gloutney come and teach us surfing skills! Stephanie graduated from World Class Academy and is an instructor that now bases herself in Fernie. Over twenty women had a fun time practicing their surfing skills and were super inspired by watching Stephanie absolutely style it! The music was pumping; we playboated, danced and even had some attempted body surfing! Come and join in on the fun at the Women’s Whitewater Weekend 2022!
KanFest August 6-8 - "Bottoms-Up Cup" Stop #3
KanFest is back for 2021! It will be slightly scaled back from previous iterations, but all of the crucial pieces will be in place; Paddling, fun competition, clinics, ball race and party! The Alberta Playboaters League is supporting by running the freestyle competition and AQ Outdoors is supporting by offering a freestyle basics clinic. Freestyle Development Camps July 5 - 9
Canadian Team Coach, Kalob Grady, is coming west again this year! He will be running a youth development camp during the days and will be offering evening sessions for adults. This program was hugely popular with the kids last year, and everyone was very impressed with his concise, detailed coaching and spot-on feedback. Whether you are looking to improve your flat spin, or your trying to figure out how the heck to finish a tricky-woo, this is the time! (Adult Registration) (Youth Registration)

Brierlies June 26 - "Bottoms-Up Cup" Stop #2

This will be the 2nd stop for what is turning into a new series of freestyle events in Alberta.
