Kananaskis WhitewaterAWA and ARSA have raised $210,000 of $310,000 for the project, thanks to community support and a Community Facility Enhancement Program grant. We need $100,000 to be confident that we can get all the work done. We are fundraising to: - get river engineering work done to ensure stability and durability of the facility for years to come - ensure environmental standards are met as per the Water Act - build an adjustable wave between Mountain Wave & Green Tongue for surf and paddlesports - tweak many of the current river features so that they work better (Santa, Point Break, etc) - do major stabilization work of the current features so that they can withstand the new normal river flows (random boulders that have moved throughout, race course walkway,etc) We are excited to announce that we have chosen the engineering firms for the river engineering, and the wave structural work. - River Engineering - Ecohydraulics - Wave Structure - Rostel Industries More Project Details PROMO VIDEO DonateDonate now through Alberta Sport's Donation Fund Program and get a tax receipt and the government will match dollar for dollar.
