The Provincial Canoe/Kayak Youth Camp will be held at the AWA's Campground at Canoe Meadows on the Kananaskis River near Seebe, Alberta from Monday afternoon, August 21 to Friday afternoon August 25.

All young paddlers are encouraged to attend this pre-competition camp to improve skills and learn more from our coaches.

Cost is $200 for early bird registrations before August 11 or $240 after August 18. The cost includes camping, meals, coaching and transportation for the 4 1/2 days. We will be based at the AWA's scenic Canoe Meadows Campground on the Kananaskis River with a great paddling site close at hand.

This camp will start on Monday afternoon at 1:00 pm, August 21 and will include supper that night and meals for 3 days, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Camping will be in the Alberta Whitewater Association's group campground at Canoe Meadows. Meals will be provided on site.

Training sessions during the camp will include river runs and river skill development; slalom skills for K1, C1 and C2; and balancing and paddling downriver kayaks on flatwater and easy river runs and freestyle kayaking. 

Our team of certified Instructors and Coaches will include your Zone Coaches and other invited Coaches from the different disciplines involved in the Provincials.

If you or your child is not participating at the Provincials then you can arrange to pick them up at the Canoe Meadows Campground at 3:00 pm on Friday, August 25th.

Parents and families are welcome to camp out with us and participate in the meal plan.
