If you have taken the NCCP training course and have not been evaluated or you would like to recertify your qualifications, the Alberta Whitewater Association is offering a free opportunity to be evaluated. NCCP Learning Facilitators and Evaluators will be on hand to put you through your paces teaching and leading real paddlers on the water during the Whitewater Festival weekends. You must pre-register so that we can book some time for you with the Evaluators. The Evaluation should take 1/2 day to complete but may be longer depending on the location of the group and the river run selected. Evaluations planned for the 3 Rivers Whitewater Rendezvous include:
- Pool and Lake Kayak Instructor
- River Leader 2
- River Instructor 2
- Whitewater Leader 3
- Whitewater Instructor 3
The 3 Rivers Whitewater Rendezvous is held down in Pincher Creek over the May long weekend. This is a wonderful festival with lots of paddlers attending to kick off the 2015 paddling season. Once you have registered for your Evaluation, we will send out information on your scheduled time(s) and the locations for your evaluation. You are encouraged to pre-scout the locations and river runs to be prepared for your Evaluation.
