- To provide participants with training in swiftwater river safety, accident prevention, rescue procedures, and basic rescue techniques.
- The CKC Swift Water Rescue course is designed to be flexible to allow for different river participants to learn about River safety and rescue.

This new course fills a gap between Lake and Instructor 2. It allows instructors to teach on class 1 moving water and gives students an excellent understanding of safety and maneuvering on a river.
