Sundre Paddlefest 2017
Two days of great paddling on the Upper Red Deer River.
We will be camping again this year at the Cache Hill Campsite.
Come for a lesson or just to paddle with some wonderful people. If you have never paddled the Upper Red Deer this is a great stretch of river with many different runs on it - Grade II with some Class III features that make this one of the "go to" rivers for paddlers all summer long.
We have moved the Paddlefest to the Forest Reserve and we are using one of the campgrounds that the paddling groups have used for years - the Cache Hill Campsite. The Cache Hill campsite is located 38 kms from Sundre on the Red Deer River Road and 6 km west of the Red Deer River Ranch. We will bring in toilets, potable water, tents and tarps so that we are well equipped for the gathering.
And of course we will have all sorts of great paddling, good meals, excellent instruction and the chance to enjoy the upper Red Deer River together. The meal package includes 2 hot breakfasts and 1 delicious supper.Â
