Women's Whitewater Weekend 2018

Registration includes: 2 nights accommodation, breakfast Saturday and Sunday, dinner and beverages Saturday night, post paddle yoga Saturday, and prizes! 

Festival is at Hunter Valley Adventures on the south side of the Red Deer River. (http://www.huntervalleyadventures.ca/directionsmap.html) Rustic cabins are reserved for first 30 registered and are selected upon arrival at the camp. Camping available for all other registrants. 

River runs

Volunteer guided river runs will be available for all other participants Saturday and Sunday on different sections of the Red Deer River (Class II and III). Paddlers who would like to participate in these runs should have experience on Class II moving water and be familiar with self rescues and assisted rescues. If a paddler has no river experience, they should consider taking the intro to river kayaking course for instruction.

     River Kayaking beginner course

Saturday and Sunday - 2 day Intro (Max 6 participants) Cost $200

The aim of this program is to introduce participants to the world of whitewater kayaking in a safe, fun and educational framework.  The Intro to River Kayaking Weekend is a 2 day program tying in flatwater and river kayaking into the progression. The instructor will take paddlers through a logical progression that maximizes skill development, confidence and enjoyment of this sport.
