Why is there a huge 'Kicking Horse Paddle Festival 2018 Hashtag at the top of this webpage you may ask? Why? Because we freaking love the Kicking Horse River! We freaking love the Paddling community! And we freaking love creating this Festival so YOU can come and enjoy it too!!! Booyah!
The Kicking Horse Paddle Festival is an epic annual event that celebrates the Kicking Horse River and all those who enjoy its white-water beauty in Golden, British Columbia, Canada.
This is a weekend of fun, adrenalin and nature. Where all types of river people are invited to paddle, race, camp and to make new friends. This truly is the weekend to start your paddling summer, to enjoy the majestic scenery and to dance like nobody’s watching.
This year is set to be our biggest to date. New events for 2018 are hosting the Paddling Film Festival in Golden, a kayak launch ramp, downriver timed race, boater X race, paddling clinics, King of the Kicking Horse charity raft race, rustic camping on the banks of the river, catered food, DJs, dance party, Yoga andlocal craft Beer.
