Hello all,
It is with great pleasure that I relay to you that CanoeKayak Canada’s Whitewater Instructor program has received conditional approval by the Coaching Association of Canada as a National Coaching Certification Program. The CAC review committee was very impressed with the overall quality of the program. There is still some work remaining to receive final approval but this is significant moment for the Whitewater program as the
- Pool Kayak Instructor,Â
- Lake Instructor,
- River Leader 2,
- River Instructor 2,
- Whitewater Leader 3 and
- Whitewater Instructor 3Â Â
are recognized by the CAC. The next steps are to integrate the recommendations of the review committee and to apply for grants to translate the program into French and move the program for final approval.
I would like to take this opportunity to recognize the tremendous work of Mark Tayler and Chuck Lee whose vision and technical expertise have guided this program to this point.Â
