- Head Instructor - Bow Valley Kayak Club - Canmore
The Head instructor is responsible for the successful implementation of the Bow Valley Kayak Club’s programs. This involves careful, creative plan ning and promotion to ensure a fun, safe experience accessible to all club members. Ideal candidates should have a passion for outdoor learning, and an interest in strategic planning to foster growth & cohesion within the local paddling community.
- Wapiti Whitewater Kayaking Club - is looking for a summer coach for our season (May - September, but willing to work with school schedules) in the Grande Prairie area. We will have a Canada Summer Jobs Grant so the person would have to be between 15 - 30, but we prefer 18+. Preference given to paddlers who have several years of experience, and who have or are eligible for Level 1 instructor certificates, but we are willing to train. You must have your own vehicle to get back and forth to work.
Accommodations are available in Grande Prairie (one of our kayakers grandparents have a bedroom/living room/bathroom in their basement and are willing to let a coach stay - ask Jess - it's a great place).
Our programs run Monday evenings for Women Only, Tuesday evenings for Youth, Wednesday evenings for Club nights, and then some weekend events as well as daytime events for summer youth programs.
