18th Annual Penguin Race - Hosted by Waterwerks Kayak Club
The annual kick off to the kayak season, the Penguin Race.
Don’t let the name fool you. This is more than a fun race! Great socializing, food and summer planning!
Events for all ages and abilities (must have a comfortable wet exit).
This year the Penguin Race will be Saturday, May 2.
The race will be held on the irrigation canal at the Bow Waters Canoe Club and will be a head to head Kayak Cross race. This exciting race will have different levels of competition for all abilities. The canal is flat and moves very slowly. There will be a course constructed with gates for paddlers to navigate.
Fun, food and prizes for all ages! Don’t forget to dress up as a penguin! The fastest man and woman get to sign the Famous Penguin, as well as the best dressed!
