This year, the Grande Cache Wild River Rendezvous is sponsored by Bliss Stick kayak, Andrew Louglin out of Jasper and Grande Cache Hotel. Entry fee $40.00 per person and it includes a ticket to WIN a new Bliss Stick whitewater kayak, valued at $1400.00, pasta dinner in High Country Steak & Ale.
A room rate at the Grande Cache Hotel is $59.00 for single or double occupancy.
VIP passes for Rockies B&G; which includes live entertainment and discount on beverage if you wear paddling gear at Rockies B&G for the dance.
Free tenting and camping sites at the Grande Cache Hotel private park. Plug in, washroom and water available, 24 hours desk services.
Here is the information for the Grande Cache Wild River Rendez-vous 2013.
Friday June 14, 2013 at 6:00pm. The middle Muskeg River, canyon run. 3 hours round trip. We will meet at the put in on hwy 40, Muskeg Bridge. Class 3-4 and one class 5 section that can be paddled or portage with a seal launch below a water fall.
Saturday morning June 15, 2013;
Option #1. Middle Muskeg canyon run, class 3-4 in the morning. Sulphur River in the afternoon, class 2-3.
Option #2. Sheep Creek River run, upper and lower canyon. This is an advance expert run only. Class 3-4 and class 5 for the kayaker that is looking for a true adventure. (Pucker factor….9-10) That means that your ass is shut tight and your throat is dry…!!! It can be done…!!!!
Option #3. This year event, we are offering the upper Muskeg for the beginner and novice. This section of river is Class 1 and maybe 2. This is a new river run that we want to promote this year, for the BEGINNER. My self personally, will be guiding this section of the river for this year rendezvous 2013.
Sunday June 16-2013, morning and afternoon, option # 1-2 are available.
