Hey paddlers hope you are all enjoying the high water. The Shushwap kayak rodeo is happening, it will be held on Saturday June 8th with an after party at kingfisher hall. Camping will also be at the hall. We plan on doing a big BBQ after the rodeo. it will be the same as the other years will start with a ball race and then jump right into the comp. If you could write me back as soon as you know if you can or cant make it that would be great. and if you could spread the word so we can get as many paddlers as possible and to get them to contact me on Facebook or my email dylanjacobdavidson@gmail.com thanks a bunch and hope all you can make it out the 18th annual rodeoThis is a super fun day! The ball race is awesome, the hole rodeo and "big air" comp off the HUGE ramp are super cool with loads of spectators and lots of beer. Great after party too. It's always been pretty cheap to enter and it includes lunch and entry into a draw for door prizes.
The Rodeo site is located 31 kms east of Enderby up the Mabel Lake Road, between Vernon and Salmon Arm)
The event includes -
-Freestyle Kayak Competition (Jrs,C-1,K-1,and open Canoe)
-Dinner and dance on Saturday night.
-Ball Race (3 or 4 to a team race down the Shuswap)
-Big Air Comp.
-Free Camping and much much more...
