Surveys - 2027-2032 Strategic Planning - Review and Survey

AWA's Strategic Plan is up for renewal. The 2021-2026 Plan had 5 Goal Areas with specific goals for each. In this REVIEW Document you can follow the Original Strategic Plan in black and the Review Comments in blue

Below we have two Survey options to look at each area as we evaluate and look forward to 2032! We value our members thoughts and ideas about how we can make paddlesports in Alberta better.

Waterton Lakes Visitor Use Management 

• Why does it matter? Currently there is a ban on boating in Waterton National Park - Suggested responses include asking for an Aquatic Invasive Species mitigation program that allows for paddlesports.

Glenbow Ranch Management Plan Engagement

• Why does it matter? River recreation is currently not seen as part of this Park's mandate. It is the only Provincial Park in Alberta situated on a waterbody, without water access.
