AWA Volunteer Scope of Duties 

(full Volunteer Management Policy)

1- Event Volunteer

GOALS:

1. Support of Event or Program.

2. Modeling and instilling socially appropriate behaviour.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Attend event on a punctual basis.

2. Communicate with Event Director regarding program and activities.

3. Adhere to the plans of the Event Director.

4. Devote adequate time to preparation for events.  

 

2- EVENT FINANCE VOLUNTEER with Responsibilities for Cash

GOALS:

1. Support of Event or Program.

2. Modeling and instilling socially appropriate behaviour.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Attend event on a punctual basis.

2. Communicate with Chief of Event regarding program and activities.

3. Adhere to the plans of the Chief of Event.

4. Handle and safeguard cash for the event

5. Devote adequate time to preparation for events.

 

3- COACH/INSTRUCTOR VOLUNTEER

GOALS:

1. Instruction in sport skills.

2. Competition coaching at an appropriate level.

3. Modeling and instilling socially appropriate behaviour including fair play.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Attend practice and events on a regular basis.

2. Communicate with Head Coach or Board regarding practices and events.

3. Adhere to the plans of the Head Coach or Board

4. Devote adequate time to preparation of athletes for events.

 

4- BOARD or COMMITTEE MEMBER with no Financial Authority

GOALS:

1. Responsible for providing leadership and direction to the organization

2. Tasked with governing the organization’s affairs on behalf of its members.

3. Involvement in policy decisions.

4. Modeling and instilling socially appropriate behaviour.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Attend Board Meetings and events.

2. Communicate with other Board members regarding programs and events.

3. Adhere to the Strategic Management Plan.

4. Devote adequate time to preparation for meetings and events.

 

5- BOARD or COMMITTEE MEMBER with Financial Authority

GOALS:

1. Provide leadership and direction to the organization

2. Govern the organization’s affairs on behalf of its members.

3. Involvement in policy decisions.

4. Manage the financial affairs and agreements for the organization

5. Modeling and instilling socially appropriate behaviour.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Attend Board Meetings and events.

2. Communicate with other Board members regarding programs and events.

3. Adhere to the Strategic Management Plan.

4. Devote adequate time to preparation for meetings and events.

5. Maintain financial management tools for organization

 

6- Trip Planner Volunteer

GOALS:

1. Support of a club common adventure.

2. Organizing logistics for a trip including location EAP

3. Modelling and instilling socially appropriate behaviour.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Attend trip on a punctual basis.

2. Communicate with board regarding trip and activities.

3. Adhere to the plans of the trip.

4. Devote adequate time to preparation for trip.
