Canoe Kayak Canada's River Rescue Course
- To provide participants with training in swiftwater river safety, accident prevention, rescue procedures, and basic rescue techniques.
- The CKC Swift Water Rescue course is designed to be flexible to allow for different river participants to learn about River safety and rescue.
Date: Sat June 14 - Sun June 15
Time: 9am-6pm both days
Location: Harvie Passage in Calgary (Kananaskis River as an alternative if needed)

River Rescue Workshop Participant Profiles
Participant profiles (anyone working or recreating in or around rivers):
- Kayakers
- Canoeists
- Rafters
- SUP
- Fish Biologists
- Land Surveyors
Participant Pre-requisites:
Comfortable being in moving water with a PFD on. Course is generally taught on a Class II river, but can be run on Class I or Class III.
Participants are welcome to bring any self propelled watercraft to practice rescues.
